Ritter praises new health records system

Last week in Denver, Tom Daschle, health and human services secretary-designate, indicated that investing in electronic medical record systems will be a “top priority” for the Obama administration. Obama also has called upgrading health information technology a critical.

Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter on Tuesday hailed what he called an “innovative effort” to streamline electronic health information flow between hospitals and health care providers, and said the system could provide a model for improving how the data is shared nationwide.

Ritter said that Obama is “interested” in what the organization has accomplished.  http://www.bizjournals.com/denver/stories/2008/12/15/daily29.html
